Great specs and very light…

I was very excited when I received my LG Gram laptop. I've been using another brand for quite a long time, and this opportunity was the perfect was to test out a brand of laptop I have never used before. I will be completely honest in that I personally haven't considered LG synonymous with the laptop world - monitors are a completely story as I have had LG monitors for years and they are the best.
There are several specs which really caught my eye about this laptop. A 2 TB internal SSD is quite impressive. 32 GB RAM is more than enough to move into the future. I am also pleased that there is dedicated NVIDEA GeForce RTX 2050 Graphics. Getting Windows 11 Pro is important to me as I find the Home edition limiting for my needs. It's a 12th Gen Quad Core i7-1260P which is very good. The screen is a 16" non-reflective IPS, with WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600, 350nit, contrast 1200:1). It's non touch, and for me personally that's not a big deal, as the laptop I have currently is touchscreen and I only use it as a picture password to open it. Out of the box, it's simply the laptop and the power cord (and a small bit of paperwork). I ran through the normal process of setting up the laptop, just like any PC. Go through the welcome screen, do the recommended LG updates during setup, and once got to the desktop view, go through Windows updates until everything is current. Once logged into my home network, it was quick to load the programs I needed plus copy data from my PC. Copying was very fast. I sync data between PC & laptop, and now with 2 TB internal plenty of storage space to copy over everything. I purchased a 1 TB Micro SD card without knowledge of max memory allowed, and it works fine. With 3 TB of storage, it's a beast. I set up face recognition for unlock, and the camera on the top edge of the screen recognized me in bright and dim situations.
It's quite light at 2.83lbs. That I will attribute to its' plastic construction. Other laptops may feel more sturdy, but that makes them heavier. I tested out a few programs, and performance was quick. Fast to load, and no lag in performance even with a memory hog like QuickBooks. My previous laptop has higher resolution, but still very impressive graphics. One gripe is when you insert the Micro SD card, it doesn't seat all the way in as a bit of the edge sticks out. I don't think that will be an issue.
We'll see how the next few months go, but I would recommend this LG laptop for sure.
